Where Pflege Specialists Work
- clinics and medical centers

Note: For home care services, a category B driving license and a minimum of 2 years of driving experience are required.
Work and Training Format
- working hours: 38–40 hours per week
- training and Anerkennung events: 8–12 hours per week
- salary paid from the first month
Candidate Requirements
- medical education (college, vocational school, nursing)
- professional experience of at least 2 years
- age: preferably up to 48 years
- German language: minimum level A2
Note: Check which language certificates are accepted by the German Embassy.
Document Preparation
- foreign passport
- medical degree diploma
- diploma supplement (subjects and hours)
- documents confirming work experience
Certificates:
- medical certificate (Ärztliches Attest / Gesundheitszeugnis)
- certificate of no criminal record
Translations:
- all documents are translated into German
- translations in a format accepted by the German side (embassy)
Qualification Recognition (Anerkennung)
work as Pflegehilfe / Pflegeassistenz
parallel completion of Anerkennungsverfahren
receipt of Anerkennungsbescheid
Timing: 3 / 6 / up to 12 months
Result: transition to Fachkraft status
Income (Guidelines, netto)
start: 1,600–1,900 EUR netto / month
after Anerkennung: 2,300–2,800 EUR netto / month
